PHILOSOPHY
My teaching method is based on guiding each singer in developing a healthy, dependable technique while discovering their unique musical voice. I think that technique should accompany expression, thus sessions focus on developing strong vocal foundations that allow students to sing freely, confidently, and authentically.
One important aspect of my approach is to assist kids in understanding how their voice works. I frequently utilise activities like SOVT work, lip trills, straw phonation, and humming to improve airflow and coordination. Singers who grasp the mechanics of their instrument gain consistency and more control over their sound.
I believe that learning should be collaborative and enjoyable. Lessons are targeted to each student's specific goals, whether they desire to pursue music professionally or simply improve their singing abilities. My goal is to establish a friendly environment in which students can experiment, ask questions, and gain musical confidence.
Finally, my goal is to assist students in developing technical independence, musical awareness, and a strong connection to the music they perform, so that they leave sessions with skills that they can use long after the lesson is over.
My studio offers singers technically sound, supportive vocal training that promotes healthy technique and confident artistic expression. I feel that understanding how the voice works allows students to sing freely, speak genuinely, and form long-term relationships with music.
